What’s in Bloom This Spring in Niagara Falls

Daffodils in April

The Daffodil Capital of the World, Niagara Falls is an ideal location to enjoy daffodils. These bright yellow flowers bloom throughout April and usually peak mid April. Large patches of daffodils are located by the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, along the bank of Queen Victoria Park all the way from Clifton Hill to Murray Street, as well as other smaller areas throughout the park’s property.

Tulips in May

In Niagara Falls, Canada the tulips typically begin to show pops of colour the first week of May peaking around Mother’s Day. These lovely blooms can be seen throughout Queen Victoria Park, Oakes Garden Theatre, Botanical Gardens, and Queenston Heights.

Magnolias in May

Don’t miss the magnolias, which bloom early to mid-May. Magnolia Alley is the name of a specific row of Magnolia grandiflora and some Magnolia virginiana along the Niagara Parkway outside the Floral Showhouse and Niagara Parks Police Station in Niagara Falls, Ontario. A canopy of mature trees provides an impressive visual treat as it provides shade, allowing other plantings to flourish.

Lilacs in May to Early June

Enjoy the sweet aroma of lilacs in May and June at the Centennial Lilac Garden. This is one of Canada’s largest outdoor spaces dedicated to growing and sharing lilacs with visitors.
